An award-winning sportscaster, Brian Blessing is host of "Sportsbook Radio" - a nationally syndicated sports gaming show - which airs weekdays at 11 am (PT) on Sports 920 The Game and is live and archived at DonBest.com. He currently is a television analyst and Director of Media Relations for Don Best Sports.
Blessing also serves as host of "The Linemakers" at SportingNews.com and on Discovery Channel’s Velocity network. After many years of play by work, Blessing is now the play by play voice of "Thursday Night Lights" on MYLVTV, and has called boxing for Top Rank on their world feed along with color commentary for the Las Vegas Wranglers hockey team.
As Project Manager of Las Vegas Sports Consultants, the top oddsmaking firm in the world, he developed a broadcast wing of the operation. He has also been featured on JT the Brick Fox Sports radio, Colin Cowherd ESPN, ESPN 1100, The Game 920 AM, KSHP 1400 in Las Vegas, and does featured guest segments on KVBC-TV and CW Sportszone.
Blessing came to Las Vegas after a 25-year stint in Buffalo, New York. Serving as a television and radio anchor, reporter, and host, Blessing covered Western New York’s professional teams, the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres. Stationed at WIVB-TV for 14 years, he was the beat reporter covering the Bills, which included their remarkable four consecutive trips to the Super Bowl. In addition, during his tenure at WIVB, Blessing earned Associated Press honors and a New York Board of Broadcasters Sportscast of the Year Award.
Blessing was also co-host of the popular, highly rated Hockey Hotline. In addition, Blessing won the 1997 Eclipse Award, thoroughbred racing’s highest honor, producing, writing and narrating a television documentary.
